BuranThere's a Hyundai car commercial currently showing on US tv. A car drives through a castle or walled city, to the strains of Jethro Tull's Thick As A Brick. Townsfolk act as if they've never seen a car before, and act as if they're delighted to see this Korean... thing. Excuse me.

Anyone recognize the castle/walled city? Is it Carcassonne?

------------------

duncanIs it on cable, sat. or during a sports event?
Havn't seen it yet but will watch for it when i can.
BuranDuncan, I get it on cable, on the Discovery affiliated stations such as Animal Planet.

It's kind of goofy because everybody in the commercial is ohhing and ahing over this car, which is frankly considered kind of cheap.

Lovely setting, though.

duncanIt's the setting i wanted to see also. We can't get cable out where we live so i don't think i'll be able to help you. I have been looking on the few channels we do get and haven't seen the commercial yet, sorry.
BuranYes, I have confirmation that the castle in the Hyundai commercial is indeed Carcasonne. Beautiful.

LevanYup - it's Carcassonne. A wonderful city - I visited it a few weeks ago and hope to publish pictures soon... not that Carcassonne is an especially car friendly city!
